August 20, 2007, Monday – Editing session ISO/IEC 11179 (Seaborg Room)

9:00 am           Special editing session - ISO/IEC 11179. This may include a presentation of the current proposals for 11179 Part 3 (Edition 3) to NCI participants when they arrive. This will help to validate whether or not the proposals are what is needed by NCI.

9:15 am           XMDR prototype: status, demonstration, plans for future work, discussion of NCI use requirements

10:30 am         Morning Break

10:45 am         XMDR prototype discussion continued

11:45 am         Lunchno host lunch from Faculty Club, bring back to meeting room, general discussion

12:45 pm         Discussion of content loading and mapping: OMEGA, OpenCyc (water portion), other. Status, demonstration, discussion. Mapping SIC - NAICS. Content acquisition, plans for loading content, and plans for acquiring additional content. Discussion of loading content from multiple sources where the content has different identifiers. Discussion of loading caDSR metadata

11:00 am         Presentation from Study Period on MDR for Semantic Web proposed by Korea - Dongwon Jeong, Dept. of Informatics & Statistics, Kunsan National University, Korea

11:45am          Lunch, no host lunch from Faculty Club, bring back to meeting room, general discussion

12:45 pm         SPIRE collaboration

1:15 pm           Discussion of potential demonstrations for Ecoinformatics Test Bed  - Bill Sonntag

3:15 pm           Discussion of interactions with other groups--W3C, Ecoterm, Ecoinformatics, Open Forum 2008. Plans for meetings and conferences.

If desired, this will follow-on with NCI or other participant agency requirements for XMDR. When that discussion is complete, the rest of the time will be used on editing ISO/IEC 11179-3 (E3) (xx Room)
